This certification confirms that both the capsules and the lid materials are fully biodegradable under industrial composting conditions.

Bio-Caps GmbH had reason to celebrate on November 30, 2023, as their "Home" variant coffee capsules received not one, but two significant certifications. The Industrial ABAP10070 according to AS4736 and Garden Composting ABAP20238 according to AS5810 awards were the result of rigorous testing procedures, affirming the versatility of these capsules in terms of compostability.

Bio-Caps GmbH has improved its previous gold status to platinum in the renewal of its ESG certificate by leading certifier Ecovadis. The assessment is based on the sustainability performance of companies in the areas of environment, social affairs and corporate governance.

The European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is nearing the finish line. The EU Parliament's Environment Committee (ENVI) adopted the PPWR proposal yesterday, October 24, with a 2/3 majority. The major changes concern coffee capsules, as set out in the proposed regulation adopted yesterday.
